Of course along the way we made some decisions that didn’t work out, and we had to gut that feature and do it again. It’s all part of the cost of building a truly great product, one that fits as many requirements as possible. Every great software product has had its challenges, and dbShards fits that in many ways — but The Result was worth it.
We have performed extensive component benchmarks, and have a really powerful integrated testing framework. Each time a developer checks in any work, we know in minutes with an automated report if product functionality was improved or made worse. This approach really has kept us honest, so we always look at the real truth and make sure we deliver the best to our customers.
When you work with us, and ask a question, you’ll get an honest answer. We really do believe dbShards is the best general database cluster on the market, but if it isn’t right for your application, we won’t waste your time (or ours).
